Cycling Along The Wonderful Hand-Built Stone Walls On Inis Oírr (Video)

Back in February, I spent a couple of days in County Clare on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.

Now I’ve visited Clare a tonne of times in the past and this time, like every other time, I encountered the exact same problem. A monumental problem, at that.

There’s just too much stuff to do to squeeze into a tiny weekend break!

On this particular visit, however, I decided to pop a trip to Inis Oírr at the top of the list and took a ferry from Doolin (a village with an awful lot going for it) over to the smallest of Galway’s Aran Islands.

If you’re planning a visit to Inis Oírr you won’t be disappointed.

You can casually stroll around the island at your own pace or rent a bike and zip along the beautiful stone walls that wind around every corner of the island.

Hit play above to get a glimpse at what cycling around the island entails.

And that's a wrap!
Oh, and apologies in advance to those of you who encounter motion sickness after watching it – carrying a camera while trying to control a bike with a dodgy wheel is trickier than it looks!
