This Is Hands-Down The Most Picturesque Place to Glamp In Northern Ireland

I wrote a guide to 27 of the most unique places to go glamping in Ireland a while back. When I hit ‘publish’, I thought I’d managed to include the cream of the crop.

But I was wrong. Very wrong.

There was an absolute peach of a spot in County Fermanagh that I missed. A place with lodges (and hot tubs – see video below) next to the mighty Lough Erne.

Sound like somewhere you’d like to kip for a night? Scroll down to see what it’s all about.

Welcome to the Rossharbour Resort

I watched the video about two hours ago and I’ve been thinking of booking a visit ever since. You’ll find the Rossharbour Resort in Fermanagh, on the shores of Lough Erne.

The resort is finely plonked on 6 acres of land and offers guests everything from VIP areas and a spa to glamping and holiday homes.

It’s also a grand aul base for a bit of exploring:

  • You’re a 47-minute drive from Cuilcagh
  • A 49-minute drive from the Marble Arch Caves
  • A 31-minute drive from Donegal Castle
  • A 25-minute drive from Bundoran

Yes, that’s a big chonker of a sauna that looks over Lough Erne. Imagine being flaked out here in the middle of winter as the rain hops off the roof?! Magic!

Those of you that visit Rossharbour Resort can kick-back with family or friends in:

  • Luxury lakeside lodges
  • Lakeside glamping cabins
  • Luxury Riverside Lodges
  • Beachside glamping Pods

The pick of the bunch: The luxury lakeside lodges

If it was me, I’d be going for one of the lakeside lodges. Each one of these lads is situated right on the shore of Lough Erne and boasts a private hot tub.

They also come kitted out with:

  • A fully equipped ensuite Kitchenette (fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, sink, cutlery, crockery and glassware)
  • A widescreen TV
  • 1 double bed
  • 1 double sofa bed

There doesn’t look to be a whole lot of room inside (see the photo below), but it’s worth it for the lakeside location.

There’s also access to the on-site lakeside sauna (second image below) along with a BBQ pit, wifi and plenty more.

How much a night will set you back

Now, onto the big question – how much will a night here hurt your pocket. It’s not too bad, actually. According to their website:

  • If 2 people stay for 1 night it’ll cost you £189 (€220)
  • If 4 people stay for 1 night it’ll cost £269 (€314)

If you can get a group of 4 to go, it’ll only set you back  €78.50 each for the night, which isn’t overly pricey, considering how unique of an experience it is.
