It’s no secret that Danny Mac’s is an institution here in Lahinch. Food is extremely tasty, comes in big portions, and is reasonably priced. What’s not to like?

Whether you opt for their big breakfast that includes 4 sausages, bacon, eggs, tomato beans, mushrooms, and white pudding or you decide to order lunch and dinner favourites such as roast lamb, salmon, or fish and chips, everything on the menu is mouthwatering.

In the mood for some sweet stuff? Go for the sugar and lemon crepe- style pancakes and you won’t be disappointed.

2. Barrtrá Seafood Restaurant

Overlooking Liscannor Bay, Barrtrá Seafood Restaurant is a family-run seafood and steak dining establishment that has been in the business since 1988.

It may look like your average café from the outside, but Joe’s Café is actually one of the best places to eat in Lahinch for hearty homemade cuisine.

Located just before the promenade, this cute cafe is all about locally sourced foods. For instance, their beef is imported from Bernard Roughan, fresh herbs are brought in from Bell Harbour’s Celtic Salads, and sausages come directly from Loughnanes in Galway.

Healthy eaters will be pleased to hear that all stews and soups at Joe’s Café are dairy and gluten-free. It is also worth mentioning that desserts and pizza dough are made daily on-site.

2. Hugo’s Deli

No visit to Lahinch is complete without checking out the amazing Hugo’s Deli, a small bakery and café where bread tastes like heaven and Portuguese pastries are simply mouthwatering.

Customers say how the Portuguese custard tarts are extremely delicious and add that warm sausage rolls and locally sourced ham and cheese are also amazing.

As for the interior, there are a few wooden seats and a cool counter which is made from recycled packing cases.

3. Dodi Café

Dodi Café is another of the more casual Lahinch restaurants that’s perfect for a post-adventure bite-to-eat with friends or family.

Located in the heart of the town right on the main street, the café offers tasty Middle-Eastern inspired grub in a beautiful setting. Keep in mind that this is a small café and can accommodate approximately 20 guests.

Order their signature Shakshuka, a well-balanced dish with a bit of spice. Lemon & Poppyseed pancakes are also delicious, as well as tabbouleh & chorizo dishes. If you are in the mood for dessert, don’t miss the scones served with homemade raspberry jam.
