Pax House Dingle: A Luxury Guesthouse With Views That’ll Knock You Sideways

Pax House Dingle: A Luxury Guesthouse With Views That’ll Knock You Sideways

The very unique Pax House in Dingle is a place that I’ve had recommended to me hundreds of times over the years.

And that’s no exaggeration.

Since I began writing about accommodation in Dingle, I’ve had a number of places to stay recommended to me time and time again.

However, nowhere, and I mean nowhere, has been recommended to me as frequently as Pax House in Dingle.

The story goes that the only thing mightier than the views from this luxury guesthouse is the 5-star service provided by the host. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know.

I just want to kick this off by saying that we’re in no way linked to Pax House; they haven’t paid us to write this and you won’t find an affiliate link on this page.

Now that that’s out of the way – you’ll find Pax House finely plonked on top of a hill just outside of Dingle Town (1-minute drive or a 12 minute-ramble).

It’s thanks to its enviable elevated position (try saying that 3 times quickly!) that those that visit Pax House will be able to soak up the views seen above and below from many places throughout the house.

The rooms

There are a number of different room options available at Pax House, many of which vary in style and price. The pick of the bunch, in my opinion, are the sea-view bedrooms.

Although these stylish bedrooms are located on the ground floor of the property, they each offer magnificent views out over the water (see above).

They’re also finely decked out with every convince and luxury that you could imagine, such as:

  • A king bed (top quality pocket-sprung beds that you’ll get in five-star hotels),
  • Crisp cotton sheets
  • Aran woven bed throws
  • Handmade furniture made locally
  • Irish wool carpets
  • A walk-in power shower
  • Underfloor heating

As if the above wasn’t enough, there’s also a flat-screen TV, mist free bathroom mirrors, natural bathroom products, fresh flowers by your bedside and plenty more.

Breakfast with a view

Good God that really is a view and a half! Imagine chilling here in the morning with a piping hot cup of coffee!

Breakfast at Pax House sounds out of this world. Those that visit have the option of choosing from a very wide range of dishes, such as:

  • Poached pears in a broth of Madagascar vanilla, clove and lemon zest.
  • Homemade Granola and Homemade Yoghurt.
  • Local Heather Honey.
  • Egg Florentine-poached free-range egg and wilted spinach, topped with Hollandaise sauce and served on a toasted muffin with tomatoes.
  • Pancakes with a twist, caramelized with cinnamon sugar and layered with banana and berries and served with fresh cream and a choice of warmed Canadian Maple Syrup or our own famous warmed homemade chocolate sauce.

And that’s literally just a taste of the extensive breakfast menu that’s on offer here. There are also gourmet sandwiches available to order throughout the day.

Chill out spaces

If you visit Pax House when the weather isn’t great, or if you’ve arrived back after a long day of exploring, you can chill in the living area and admire the view.

I love the idea of kicking back in that squishy-looking couch above with a cup of coffee before heading out for an evening spent nipping in and out of the many buzzy pubs in Dingle.

There’s also plenty restaurants in Dingleof fine where you can kick-back with a post-adventure feed!
