You + 3 Friends Can Rent This House With A Pub For A Weekend In July From €123 P/P

The best Airbnbs in Ireland, in my opinion, are ones that are a little bit different. The more unique the better.

If you’ve read our guide to the quirkiest Airbnbs in Ireland, you’ll know that Ireland’s home to plenty of weird and wonderful places to stay.

Today, we’re nipping out to Tipperary to visit a pub that you and a group of friends can rent for a weekend of merriment this August for just €123 per person!

Note: if you book a stay through one of the links below we’ll make a tiny commission that helps us keep this site going. You won’t pay extra, but we really do appreciate it.

Welcome to Conroy’s Old Bar in County Tipperary

The level of want is real… Although this pub hasn’t served a customer for nearly 15 years, you’d be forgiven for mistaking it for a buzzy local public house at first glance.

You’ll find it in a sleepy little village in north Tipperary, close to the mighty Lough Derg and the River Shannon.

Yes, this place is slightly off the beaten path, but it’ll be perfect for those looking for a bit of peace and quiet (and your very own pub) for a few nights.

‘The Pub With No Beer’

Although Conroy’s is packed with charm and character, the one thing that it doesn’t come equipped with is a fully stocked and functioning bar.

Often referred to locally as ‘The Pub With No Beer’, the premises no longer holds a liquor licence and is completely dry of alcohol.

So, yea, you’ll need to bring your own stash if you fancy kicking back with a few beers after a day spent exploring.

The interior of this place looks nice and cosy. The property still boasts the original, polished mahogany bar (complete with pumps) along with a fully functioning kitchen.

There’s a dart board and some skittles to keep you occupied if it’s raining and there’s also a fine big turf fire to kick back in front of on chilly evenings.

There’s also a fully functioning pub just down the road, so you can still nip in somewhere for a quiet pint if you’ve a thirst on you.
