The best spa hotel Donegal has to offer is, in our opinion, Lough Eske. This award-winning five-star resort is situated on the edge of the stunning Lough Eske just a short drive out of Donegal Town.

It requires a bit of a splurge, but a stay in one of their castle or garden suites is worth every penny. They are luxuriously decorated with a modern touch and offer plenty of fine amenities.

One of the real highlights of a stay at the Lough Eske Castle Hotel is the onsite spa. It’s housed in a sandstone building in the garden with a green and gold mosaic pool and spa.

You can easily unwind with their natural therapies, including facials and massages in one of their seven treatment rooms.

The fully equipped thermal suite offers the ultimate spa experience, which has an ice fountain, sauna, steam room, infinity pool and tropical experience showers.

It offers the perfect way to disconnect at their wonderfully stylish spa and beauty centre. They have a range of both hot and cool experiences with stunning views over the bay from the full height windows.

4. Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa

A relaxing escape to Donegal’s beautiful Inishowen Peninsula is never a bad idea and Ballyliffin Lodge might just be the perfect place to stay in this part of the county.
