I know that I probably sound like a broken record at this stage, but finding decent group accommodation in Ireland can be hard.
This summer, when more people than ever are looking into taking a mini holiday in Ireland, it’s even tricker.
Tricky. But not impossible.
Below, you’ll find a huge house by the sea in Kinsale in Cork that sleeps up to 22 people and that works out pretty damn reasonable price-wise if you visit with a group.
Views, big group spaces and a fine bit of comfort
If you’re in search of a deadly base to explore Kinsale from with a group of friends or family, this big a*s house by the sea should tickle your fancy.
You’ll find this swanky gaff finely plonked on a site that looks down upon the Old Head of Kinsale.
The owners took full advantages of the views when designing the place – you’ll be able to soak up incredible scenery right the way throughout the house.

Big communal areas where you can chill together
Aside from the views (and the price – more on this below), one of the biggest things that this place has going for it is its big communal areas.
If you arrive on a day when the weather is decent, you can all kick back as a group on the outside patio area, where there are views down towards the Old Head.
If you arrive during the colder months (or the wet summer months…) you’ve a nice big dining area in the kitchen or a cosy living room with plenty of seating space.
The dining area can sit up to 23 people while the living area (above) seats up to 16 people comfortably.
Bedrooms with a view
Imagine waking up and being able to look out onto the view above from the comfort of your bed?!
The sleeping arrangements, unlike many other Airbnbs, look to be pretty good in this place. There’s a clatter of spacious bedrooms:
- Bedroom 1: Has 2 king-size beds plus 2 floor beds
- Bedroom 2: Has a super king bed plus 2 floor beds
- Bedroom 3: Has a super king bed and 1 floor bed
- Bedroom 4: Has a king-size bed
- Bedroom 5: Has a king size
- Bedroom 6: Has a super king bed and 1 floor bed
How much a night will set you back
I’ve popped in a Friday night in July (available at the time of writing) for 16 friends sharing. Here’s how much it works out at:
- Total: €1,385
- Total per person: €86.56
