If you’re looking for a tourist map of Donegal with attractions plotted, the below should help.
Before building out the County Donegal section of this website, we spent a day creating a Google Map of Donegal to help us recommend relevant nearby attractions.
It’s packed with walks, hikes, often-missed viewpoints, beaches, family attractions and more.
In a nutshell, it’s a handy tool to find places to visit near you while you’re exploring Donegal.
Some quick need-to-knows about our Google Map of Donegal with attractions
There’s a handful of nuggets of info to be aware of before you use the map. Take 20 seconds to read the below, first.
1. It’s split into categories
As you can see from the photo above, there’s a mix of coloured pointers on the map. Each corresponds to a category; Beaches, towns and villages, Donegal’s main attractions, places to walk and family attractions. You can simply zoom in on the place you are and find loads of places to visit nearby.
2. We’ve done our best to make it accurate
Although we spent countless hours working away on this, there’s likely some points plotted that are slightly off. This usually happens when the location within Google Maps has been incorrectly entered, so please keep that in mind.
3. You need to log in (takes 15 seconds and helps keep this website going)
We have the Google Map of Donegal below ‘locked’. This is far from ideal, I know – but here’s why we’ve done it (it takes seconds to access):
- If you sign up (free), we’re able to show you more relevant ads on our website
- While this costs you nothing, it helps us get a fair price from advertisers for the ads we show
- This in turn helps us pay the bills (7 writers, an editor, website hosting costs, etc)
- If you do sign up – thank you. You’re helping us to keep The Irish Road Trip alive
