You + 2 Friends Can Rent This House By The Sea In West Cork For A Week For €274 Each

This pretty beachside cottage is the perfect little getaway for a couple or a small group of friends.

You’ll find it in a very idyllic setting overlooking the crystal blue waters of Tragumna Bay.

Whether you want to enjoy a relaxing coastal holiday or if you plan on exploring more of West Cork, this place is a little slice of heaven.

Below, you’ll find everything you need to know, from its quirky features to how much a few nights will set you back.

The place is a semi-detached home which has two bedrooms that can accommodate up to three people.

It’s located right on the water (literally!) and offers views out over the beautiful Tragumna Bay and its picturesque Blue Flag beach.

Although based in a quiet village, it’s only six kilometres from Skibbereen town making it a perfect base for exploring more of West Cork (there are heaps of things to do nearby).

If you prefer not to wander too far, there is a great bar and restaurant just a short three-minute walk away, so you can enjoy the quiet coastal life with convenience. It’s the perfect little summer retreat.

The waterfront location is the property’s real attraction. From the front of the house and garden, you can see right across the small bay.

The quaint landscaped courtyard is the ideal setting to kick back with a book or cup of tea and enjoy the warm (…hopefully) sun and salty sea breeze. Although if it gets a bit chilly, the glass front sunroom will be your next favourite spot.

Beside the property, there are also stone steps leading down to the water’s edge, if you want to go for a quick dip in the clear blue water.

It’s a very quiet little spot, a world away from the more popular towns along the West Cork coast.

Cosy rooms with mighty views

Although the cottage is pretty small, it packs a big punch and its size makes the rooms that little bit cosier.

There’s enough space for three people to share comfortably, though, with the wood-fired lounge and beautiful sunroom perfect for chilling after a day spent exploring.

There’s lots of earthy timber furniture and large windows for natural lighting, giving it a very warm and relaxing feeling.

What you can expect if you visit

The cottage has two bedrooms and one bathroom. One room has a double bed and the other has a single bed, so it’s perfect for a couple or small family.

You’ll also be able to enjoy standard household amenities such as:

  • Self-catering kitchen
  • Indoor fireplace
  • Washing machine and dryer
  • Free parking on premises
  • Wi-Fi
  • Outdoor patio and courtyard

How much a night will set you back

This is a pretty affordable seaside stay, but the drawback is that there’s a seven-night minimum stay here which will likely rule out a lot of people.

Still, for a week-long retreat, it’s a charming little place. So, I put in seven nights for three people sharing and here’s how much it worked out at:

  • Total: €937
  • Per person: €312.33
  • Book a night or see more here
