This Kinsale bed and breakfast guide includes B&Bs that I have been recommending (and receiving great feedback on) for many years.
While there are numerous hotels in Kinsale, the town’s B&B offering is at a standard that’s higher than any other Irish town, in my opinion.
Below, you’ll find 7 carefully selected B&Bs in Kinsale that range from Luxury and boutique to budget friendly. Enjoy!
The best B&Bs in Kinsale
Take a moment to look at the Kinsale bed and breakfast map above, as it’ll give you a quick lay-of-the-land.
As you can see, most of the B&Bs in Kinsale covered below are located within the town centre, close to pubs, restaurants and more.
Note: if you book a stay through one of the links below we’ll make a commission that helps us keep this site going. You won’t pay extra, but we really do appreciate it.
1. Long Quay House
Boasting a superb waterfront location in the very centre of town, a stone throw from some of the best restaurants in Kinsale, the impressive Long Quay House is my go-to bed and breakfast in Kinsale.
The property was constructed during the 18th century and the Georgian style, like the arched entrance, is visible both inside and out
The rooms here are spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed, with some offering views over the harbour and marine.
The town is, quite literally, on its doorstep, meaning you can saunter in and out as you please.
Service, setting and style combine to make this the best of the B&Bs in Kinsale, in my opinion.
2. The Lemon Leaf Townhouse
Located on Main Street, The Lemon Leaf Townhouse is one of the more central B&Bs in Kinsale!
With ten bedrooms, ranging from snug doubles to cozy twins, each room features a minimalist vibe and all the essentials for a night away.
Downstairs, there’s a popular café bar, and the best pubs in Kinsale, like the Greyhound, are a short ramble away.
Start your morning with a delicious breakfast, then grab a coffee-to-go for the scenic Scilly Walk out to Charles Fort.
3. Perryville House
Perryville House is one of the more unique B&Bs Kinsale has to offer, as you can see from the photos above.
Great service is combined with fantastic decor that blends old-fashioned charm, grandiose elegance, and modern luxury to create a very memorable stay.
Just metres from the harbour, rooms range from deluxe to junior suites, with some boasting stunning sea views.
Relax in your room or take the 3-minute walk into the town centre where many of Kinsale’s top attractions can be found.
4. Rocklands House
Rockland’s House is a popular bed and breakfast in Kinsale that’s located around 1km from the town centre, a short spin from many of the beaches near Kinsale.
It’s a 20-minute walk into the town or a 5 minute drive, so you can avail of a quite setting that’s close to the action!
Some rooms come with a balcony, and there’s also a 2-guest, self-contained garden apartment.
The cosy lounge/dining room offers great views over the harbour, while the relaxing terrace in the garden is a great place to enjoy the sunshine.
If you’re in search of a bed and breakfast in Kinsale that offers magnificent views, Rockland’s is well worth considering.
5. Blind Gate House
You’ll find Blind Gate House at Town-Plots, around an 8-minute stroll from the town centre.
There’s a lot to like about this place with its quiet location and its 11 large, finely kitted out rooms.
With a hoast (Maeve) that’ll make you feel right at home from the get go, you can expect a home-from-home from the moment you arrive
There are certain hotels in Kinsale that could learn a thing or 2 from this place!
6. The Gallery B&B
One of the more central Kinsale bed and breakfast, The Gallery B&B is located right in the town center.
Instantly recognizable by its bright orange exterior, the Gallery has been on the go since 1992.
When you enter, you’ll immediately understand the meaning behind its name, with a plethora of unique and interesting artifacts on display.
The rooms have a boutique vibe to them and each is spacious, comfortable, and en suite.
7. The Old Bank Town House
The last of the Kinsale B&Bs in this guide is the exceptional Old Bank Town House, situated right in the heart of town.
With 17 bedrooms featuring contemporary designs, the Old Bank offers guests a luxurious, boutique experience.
Relax in comfortable, opulent rooms, tantalize your tastebuds at the pop-up Indian restaurant, or take a short walk to explore the town.
Additionally, there’s a popular café downstairs where you can enjoy coffee, baked treats, and lunch.
