1. Long Quay House

Boasting a superb, waterfront location in the very centre of town and a stone throw from some of the best Kinsale restaurants, Long Quay House is among our favourite bed and breakfast in Kinsale.

The 4-star establishment provides a wide range of suites and rooms, some with sea views, but all featuring en suite bathrooms, TV, a sitting area, and wonderfully comfortable bedding. It’s a good choice for a working holiday too, with free WiFi, a decent desk, and plenty of storage space in each room.

Desmond Castle and Charles Fort are both within walking distance, as are a wealth of fantastic pubs, cafes, and restaurants. They also offer a bike rental service, making it easy to get around. Finally, the spectacular breakfast is the best way to start the day.

2. Friar’s Lodge (one of our favourite B&Bs in Kinsale)

Friars Lodge is another bed and breakfast in Kinsale that’s hard to beat. It’s a little more affordable than some of the competition, yet it maintains the high standards set by the other Kinsale’s B&Bs.

The quaint decor makes you feel at home, while the central location is ideal for exploring the town. Every time we’ve stayed, we’ve had a huge room, complete with a coffee machine, private bathroom, seating area, and a beautifully comfy bed.

But the main draw for me is breakfast. They offer a stunning, hearty full Irish that’ll set you up for a day of exploring!

Friars Lodge is a handy spin from many of the best things to do in Kinsale, like the Scilly Walk and the Old Head of Kinsale walk.

3. Perryville House

Perryville House is one of the more unique B&Bs Kinsale has to offer, as you can see from the photo on the right above.

The White House is a family run Georgian bed and breakfast in Kinsale. They offer a number of cosy rooms, which blend historic charm with modern facilities and contemporary comforts.

En suite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, comfy linens, and a flat screen TV ensure a comfortable stay, while the sumptuous full Irish breakfast rounds everything off.

The White House is also one of the best pubs in Kinsale, with live entertainment almost every evening, and a spectacular selection of beverages.

Additionally, the attached Restaurant d’Antibes offers incredible steaks, fresh seafood, and much more. Best of all, however, is the warm welcome and friendly service you’ll receive throughout your stay.

1. The Old Bank Town House

You can’t get more central than The Old Bank Town House, and it’s an ideal choice for a cosy stay in a prime location.

All the rooms and suites are en suite, and come complete with a coffee machine, WiFi, and a TV. Individually decorated, each room offers a different character.

Downstairs you’ll find the fantastic cafe and gourmet food store, where you can get a lovely cup of coffee each morning, as well as baked goods and cookies.

In fact, you’ll find some of these cookies in your room when you arrive! The cafe also rustles up take-away lunches and daily specials. As for breakfast, they don’t disappoint, and provide an incredible buffet packed full of treats.

2. The Old Dispensary

Masterfully restored to its former glory, this old townhouse in the centre of Kinsale is a wonderful place to stay.

Besides an array of single, double, twin, and family rooms, there’s also a number of self-contained apartments. Each room and apartment has been lovingly decorated and fitted out with stunning amenities.

Some come complete with fireplaces and four-poster beds, while others offer more modest decor.

In terms of location, it’s just 5 km from Charles Fort, while you’ll find a wealth of great pubs, restaurants, shops, and cafes more or less on your doorstep.

3. Giles Norman Gallery & Townhouse

Next up is one of the fanciest B&Bs in Kinsale! As one of Ireland’s top landscape photographers, Giles Norman has an artful eye.

This is masterfully demonstrated in this townhouse, which is essentially an extension of his gallery and studio. The decor is sleek and stylish, and each room has been individually curated by Giles.

The luxurious rooms boast en suite bathrooms, sea views, supremely comfortable beds, and an array of amenities. Downstairs, you’ll find a gift shop where you can buy prints and other memorabilia.

The townhouse doesn’t offer breakfast or any other meals, but you’ll find some of the best cafes and restaurants pretty much on your doorstep.

4. The K Kinsale

The K is is arguably the cosiest bed and breakfast Kinsale has to offer! Just look at the sitting room on the left in the snap above!

A brilliant little boutique guesthouse in the centre of Kinsale, the K is full of character and oozes charm. You can’t mistake the old Tudor style house, and once you step inside you’ll see that the interior is just as unique.

Adorned with art and knick-knacks from across the globe, there’s always something to catch the eye. The highlight is the beautiful lounge, complete with a grand piano and an open fireplace, and it’s a nice place to relax at the end of the day.

Each room offers an en suite bathroom, flat screen TV, Egyptian cotton linens, and a coffee machine. While they don’t provide breakfast, you’ll find plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.

The family run B&B in Kinsale is renowned for its friendly staff and warm atmosphere, as well as great prices. Situated within a beautiful Georgian house, complete with colourful window shutters and flower boxes, you’ll fall in love at first sight!

Inside, the bedrooms are cosy with extremely comfy beds, soft linens, private bathroom, flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and plenty of space for your luggage.

Some rooms offer beautiful sea views, while others provide patio access. There’s also a garden for the guests to enjoy.

Rockland’s House is a popular bed and breakfast in Kinsale that’s located around 1km from the centre of the lively town and a stone’s throw from a number of beaches near Kinsale.

 Offering tranquility and natural surroundings, the B&B remains within walking distance from the town centre, with a lovely, scenic route taking you there.

The spacious rooms all come with a private bathroom, as well as all the amenities you’d expect from a great B&B. 

Some rooms come with a gorgeous balcony, and there’s also a 2-guest, self-contained garden apartment. The cosy lounge/dining room offers great views over the harbour, while the relaxing terrace in the garden is a great place to enjoy the sunshine.
