When it comes to family glamping Ireland has plenty to offer, from spacious yurts and family resorts to glampsites with their own waterparks… yes, waterparks!
However, not all glamping in Ireland is family-friendly (most isn’t, in fact!). So, with each glampsite below I’ve been careful to check:

- Close to plenty to do: Each place below is close to plenty to see and do
The best family glamping Ireland has to offer
I’ve updated this guide several times over the years as the options for glamping in Ireland with kids evolves on a yearly basis. This is, in my opinion, the best of the bunch for 2024.

1. Westport Estate Glamping Village (Mayo)
Arguably the best family glamping in Ireland can be found within the grounds of Westport House. It’s here you’ll find a glamping village set within wonderfully kept grounds.
You’ll spend the night in one of the 5-meter bell tents (sleeps 4) and have access to hot showers, a BBQ, 400 acres of countryside, a 20m swimming pool and a football pitch.
There’s also playgrounds, a leisure centre (with sauna and steam room), gym and and on-site kitchenette. And, if you feel the need to leave the grounds, there’s endless things to do close by.

2. Goleen Harbour (Cork)
We’ve been shouting about Cork’s Goleen Harbour a lot lately, most recently in our guide to the best places to stay in Ireland. In a nutshell, there aren’t many places that offer something as unique as Goleen.
This is a 38-acre eco experience that’s right on the edge of Europe and it’ll appeal to those looking for family glamping in Ireland where the accommodation is as unique as the location.
Kick-back in a GeoDome or EcoCabin and soak up views of the West Cork coastline or take part in one of many on-site activities, like Archery Tag.

3. Let’s Go Hydro (Antrim)
There aren’t many places to go glamping with kids in Ireland that boast their very own waterpark, but that’s what’s on offer at Let’s Go Hydro in Antrim.
Accommodation wise, there are options for families big and small, with pods that sleep 4, safari tents that sleep 6 and a river house that sleeps 11.
The aqua park is home to monster slides, inflatables, a puddle park for smaller kids AND a spa for the adults complete with hot tubs, heated pool and great views, too.

4. Glasson Glamping Farm (Westmeath)
Next in our guide to the best family glamping Ireland has to offer is the brilliant Glasson Glamping Farm, located a short spin from Athlone.
There’s a huge range of quirky accommodation here, including big buses, a pod, a shepard’s hut and a stage coach.
Activity wise, there’s a 1.5km wellness walking trail on-site and you’ve plenty to see and do in nearby Athlone (including the Baysports waterpark).

5. Glamping Under The Stars (Laois)
One of the better-known spots for glamping in Ireland for families is the brilliant Glamping Under The Stars in Laois. This place has amassed rave reviews online for good reason.
There are two seperate ares here – the Mountain Glampsite and the Meadow Glampsite. Located on a quite site with beautifully landscaped gardens and wildflower meadows, this place will suit families looking to connect with the outdoors.
There are some great accommodation options here that’ll catch the imagination of the kids, like the hobbit style pods (sleep 6), the bell tents (sleep 4) and the wood cabins (sleep 6).

6. Rock Farm Slane (Meath)
There’s a lot to like about Rock Farm in Slane. You’ll find it tucked away in a grove of ancient trees that have grown to form natural enclosures around the glampsite’s tents, cabins, huts and yurts.
On-site, there’s a natural swimming pool (with a view), a hot tub, outdoor fireplaces, a communal kitchen and a lounge area.
One of the beauties of this place is the volume of things there are to see and do near by, from kayaking (yep, the River Boyne is on its doorstep), farm tours, rafting, the Slane Whiskey distillery and Slane Castle.

7. Aran Islands Camping & Glamping (Galway)

Easily accessible by ferry from Galway and Doolin, this place couldn’t be closer to the sea, with each of the pods just seconds from the sand.
There’s a shower block, a communal kitchen and many of the pods treat you to glorious sea views from inside and out. If you’re looking to go glamping with kids in Ireland and want to be by the sea, look no further.

One of the quirkier (and cosier!) places to go glamping in Ireland for families can be found in a secluded site in Whitegate in Cork (near Ballycotton).
Each of the yurts have private garden areas, picnic tables and BBQs. There’s also a communal kitchen complete with camp fire and wood fired pizza oven.
Accommodation aside, one of the big things this place has going for it is location – there’s countless beaches on its doorstep along with forests, cliff walks and plenty more.

9. River Valley Resort (Wicklow)
If you’re looking for family glamping in Ireland with endless things to do on-site, River Valley Resort in Redcross has the answer.
There’s crazy bugs (electric buggies), off road safari, go karts, a sports hall, tennis, foot golf, archery, pool tables, badminton, a 1.5km walking trail, crazy golf and playgrounds.
Accommodation wise, you’ve a massive treehouse (2 adults + 4 kids), Kukoo Huts (2 adults + 2 kids) and the Maxi Lodge ((2 adults + 3 kids). There’s even Mickey Finns Pub and brewery!

10. Castledarcy Glamping (Clare)
Castledarcy Glamping is one of the newest additions to this guide, having only launched in 2021. However, while relatively ‘new’, the exceptional reviews online speak for themselves.
Located just outside of Lahinch (around a 5-minute spin from Lahinch Beach), Castledarcy Glamping makes a unique base to explore Clare from.
The pods are bright and spacious and sleep up to 4. They come equipped with a kitchenette and, unique enough for family glamping in Ireland, are ensuite with a shower!

11. Podumna Village (Galway)

Something that puts a lot of people off glamping is that many glampsites are located in remote areas and a car is essential.
The beauty with Podumna is that it’s right in the centre of Potumna, close to shops, pubs and public transport options.

12. Cong Glamping (Mayo)
Located a mile from the famous village of Cong in Mayo, Cong Glamping is tucked away between Lough Corrib and Lough Mask and is surrounded by natural beauty.
Part of a wider, very popular camping park, there are several cosy glamping tents here that can sleep up to 4 people and each has electricity, wifi and a picnic table
Facility wise, there are showers, toilets, a BBQ, a mini cinema and a children’s playground. All of Cong’s (and many of Connemara’s!) delights are a short spin away.

The Clare coast is home to many of the best spots for glamping for families in Ireland, and Emlagh Pods are another worthy contender for your attention.
Located a short drive from Kilkee, where you’ll find a large beach and a great cliff walk, the Emlagh Pods can sleep up to 4 people.
There’s a little farm where kids can feed the animals, a playground, a trampoline, swings and an area for basketball and tennis.

14. Bective Mill Glamping & Camping (Meath)

The A Frames (pictured above) have a private bathroom, shower and kitchen along with a bright and cosy living space. There’s also a ‘Hot Box Sauna’ experience on-site that you can book.

15. Willowbrook Glamping (Roscommon)
Arguably one of the more picturesque spots for glamping in Ireland for families is Willowbrook, located on the banks of the River Lung in Roscommon.
There are several accommodation options on offer here that sleep between 5 and 6 people (the ‘Yurty Ahern’ and Yurty and the Tramp’ tents have their own private hot tubs).
There’s a continental breakfast, a communal campers kitchen, a toilet block, 4 showers, a wood fired pizza oven on-site, too.

16. Doolin Glamping (Clare)
The last spot in our guide to the best family glamping in Ireland is located in a prime position in Doolin, a short stroll from Fitz’s Pub and a short drive from many of Doolin’s top attractions.
Accommodation wise, there are several options that’ll suit large families, like the family bell tent (sleeps 6), a yurt (sleeps 7) and a tipi (sleeps 5).
The tents have orthopedic mattresses, electric stoves, bean bags and fold out beds. On-site you’ll find toilets, showers, a full communal kitchen, tv and games lounge, BBQ area and fire pit.
