I’ve updated this guide many times over the last 4 years. This is, in my opinion, a solid collection of the best 5 star glamping in Ireland for 2024.

1. Glamping at the Grove (Killarney)

Some of the finest luxury glamping in Ireland can be found a short spin from Killarney National Park in Kerry. This is an adults-only glampsite that has been meticulously built to offer a truly memorable experience.

There are several options available here – two of the original options are the glamping suite (full bedroom, en-suite toilet, BBQ + private kitchen) and the luxury lodge (spacious bedroom, kitchen, power shower and more).

However, it’s the new luxury cabins that are the pick of the bunch. Located in the glampsites lower meadow, they have king size beds with gorgeous views, a private patio and a rainforest shower along with a full kitchen.

2. Fernwood (Galway)

Clifden’s Fernwood is home to some of the more inventive luxury glamping in Ireland. Fernwood has been around a few years now and, with each passing year, they seem to reinvent themselves with new additions to the site.

Accommodation wise, there’s a Stilt House (sits on 47 stilts above the woodland floor and looks like something from Grand Designs) and the Studio (tiny home that’s beautifully decked out).

Then there’s the Treehouse Dome. It’s set within the canopy 5 metres off the floor and features a super king bed, a rain shower and mighty forest views.

There’s also a sauna, a plunge pool, lake swimming, forest walks and a rope bridge that’ll take you through the trees.

Located within a 50-acre estate on the Ring of Kerry, the Hideaway is the pinnacle of the luxury glamping at Dromquinna, offering views out over Kenmare Bay.

Visitors can expect a king size wilderness bed, goose-down duvets, a private veranda, board games, a mini bar and a breakfast delivered each morning.

If you’re living in/near the capital and you fancy sampling a bit of luxury glamping in Ireland, this tiny home is worth a look!

Located in Meath, it’s fully kitted-out with everything you’ll need for a self-catering weekend away (it’s also a 5-minute walk from a pub if you don’t fancy cooking!).

There’s a private hot tub, an outdoor dining area where you can fire up the charcoal BBQ and a sofa to kick back on.

Tucked away in the Burren is a luxury dome where you can immerse yourself in nature while still enjoying the modern comforts you’ve grown accustom to.

The dome is located within a fenced off corner of a 1 acre property and it’s position offers panoramic views over the Burren, with mountain views from the comfort of your pillow.

Guests have access to a private kitchenette and a bathroom annex along with a spacious outdoor patio where you can watch the sun set or gaze up at the stars.

There are 3 different pods here, each of which has its own private hot tub, kitchenette, shower, toilet, smart TV, fire pit and picnic area.

This makes a perfect base to explore from, with the likes of Tollymore Forest Park, Castlewellan Forest Park and the various Mourne Mountain hikes a short spin away.

Located in a position that offers mighty views of Portsalon Beach, this place is surrounded by scenery and endless things to do (it’s also adults only!).

There are 5 spacious yurts up for grabs here, each of which has a king size bed, luxury bedding, a carpeted floor and a wood burning stove. There’s also a hammock, fire pit and BBQ area outside.
