On the shores of Clonakilty Bay, Dunmore House, one my favourite hotels in Cork, has been a family-owned hostelry since 1948.

Guests are welcomed to the hotel with 30 light and spacious bedrooms that boast elegant handmade furniture, Voya organic toiletries in the bathroom and the softest Irish cashmere rugs. Most room have ocean views to wake up to.

Dine in the Adrift Restaurant from the innovative menu which focuses on West Cork produce from land and sea or choose casual dining in the lounge bar.

Guests are welcome to explore the Cliff Garden and Organic Kitchen Garden which produces herbs, salads and edible flowers for the restaurant.

I’d argue that the Clonakilty Park is one of the best hotels in West Cork. Winner of Ireland’s Best Hotel in the Family Friendly Ireland Awards 2019 and frequently features in the Top 10 Family Hotels in Ireland, Clonakilty Park Hotel is a very family friendly place to stay.

The hotel thrills young visitors with an indoor Play Zone, Adventure Golf Course and Aerial Adventure Centre with zip lines in the grounds as well as award-winning rooms that are particularly spacious.

The hotel has a pool, leisure centre with sauna and steam room and a cinema. The Twist Bar and Bistro offers relaxed dining and entertainment making this a well-recommended place to stay.
