1. Strandhill Lodge, Hostel & Surf
Now, some people might be dissuaded from staying in a hostel, however, this place is a world apart from the 20+ person dorms you tend to get in capital cities.
Firstly, there are plenty of private rooms, secondly, the maximum dorm capacity is 4 persons (great for two couples), thirdly, it’s the only lodging right next to the seafront (only 100m to Strandhill Beach).
There are also loads of private rooms here, which are cheaper than a hotel. The hostel also runs as a surf school, with fully certified instructors ready to show you the ropes(or waves rather).
If you’re in search of accommodation in Strandhill a stone’s throw from the water, you can’t go wrong with Strandhill Lodge.

It’s located 2 minutes from the beach, with direct access to the outdoor showers. There’s also free private parking.
You are free to use the shared kitchen and bathroom (and help yourself to coffee, tea or anything else you need). The lounge comes with a big flat-screen TV, though with the location being 50m from all the pubs and restaurants.
