Although we feature a lot of unique Irish accommodation on this website, few places have given us as much house-envy as the one below.

This beautifully designed modern house in Cork is a standout place to stay on Ireland’s southern coast.

The stylish property is right on the waterfront in the historic town of Kinsale in County Cork and is the perfect spot for your next weekend away with a group of friends.

The Dockhouse is an exclusively modern home right on the coast and it’s conveniently located just a five-minute walk from Kinsale town.

The house sleeps up to eight guests with three bedrooms and two bathrooms to share. It has beautiful coastal views from the glass-fronted, open plan living and kitchen area.

If you prefer to soak up the sun, then there is a balcony out the front, as well as, an outdoor BBQ and dining deck out the back. It’s the perfect space for entertaining a whole group.

Also, if it’s your first time using Airbnb, you can nab up to €50 off your first trip by using this code when you’re booking.

Stunningly modern design

The house stands out for its completely modern and unique design. The cutting-edge architecture is striking from the outside, while the inside is elegantly furnished with simple and contemporary décor.

There are large glass windows across the front of the second level, meaning you can enjoy the sea views from the comfort of inside.

Although there’s not much garden space, there are wonderful outdoor areas at the front and back of the property to enjoy the sun with a book or cup of tea.

An incredible waterfront location

Within a short walk, you can reach the town centre and some of Ireland’s finest restaurants.

The house is also close to Old Head of Kinsale, Charles Fort and plenty of beautiful beaches if you want to explore further afield.

This gorgeous Airbnb a little on the pricey side, but it’s justified considering how unique the property is. So, I put in three nights for eight people sharing. Here’s how much it worked out at:

  • Total price: €1873
  • Per person: €234
  • Per person per night: €78
  • Book a night or see more here
  • Note: If you book an Airbnb using the link above we make a tiny commission, you won’t pay extra, but it’ll help us keep this website running (cheers if you do!)
