You have a wide choice of rooms from singles up to family with some even offering sea views. It’s also one of the only hotels in Donegal Town with a pool.
3. The Gateway Lodge
The Gateway is the perfect overnight stop on the Wild Atlantic Way and just minutes’ walk from the centre of Donegal town.
It boasts refurbished clean and modern rooms and it’s located in a stone inn located along a quiet residential street a couple of minutes from Donegal Castle.
They also have an onsite restaurant (Blas) serving up fresh meals made from local produce. There’s also a complimentary breakfast available with some rooms rates.

4. O’Donnell’s Of Donegal
O’Donnell’s is a lively little pub on the Diamond in Donegal’s town centre that also boasts accommodation. Its central location means you can easily be within walking distance of most of the town’s attractions.
At the same time, you can enjoy the friendly atmosphere and great food served up at the pub and enjoy a pint at the end of your day.
The affordable double rooms offer basic comforts for a weekend away and are equipped with a TV, wardrobe and free Wi-Fi.
