It went ahead, in part, during the pain of a year that was 2020, and it’s back in full swing in 2021.

The Wicklow Christmas Market 2021: Some quick need-to-knows
Although a visit to the Wicklow Christmas Markets 2021 is fairly straightforward, there are a few need-to-knows that’ll make your visit that bit more enjoyable.
Where it’s on
The Wicklow Christmas Market takes place in the Abbey Grounds (opposite the Grand Hotel) in Wicklow town, which is just 25 minutes from the M50.
The Wicklow Christmas Market and accompanying festivities are running on December 3rd, 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th, 12th ,16th, 17th , 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st.
The Wicklow Christmas market is open on the dates above from 10am to 7.30pm.
Entry to the Wicklow Christmas Market is FREE. Just keep in mind you’ll need tickets for the Eco Ice Skating and thr Santa Express.
What to expect if you haven’t been before
There’s plenty to suit everyone at the Wicklow Christmas market and it’s guaranteed to get you into the festive spirit. If you didn’t make it here last year, here’s what to expect with some new alterations to suit the strange times that we’re in.
1. The stalls
For those of you that just fancy a nosey around, there’s plenty of stalls selling all of the usual crafts and gifts. There’s even some stalls dishing up mulled wine, too!

2. The Santa Express
One of the more popular attractions at the Wicklow Christmas Market is the Santa Express, which transports you and the little ones to the North Pole, to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
You can expect elves, sing-alongs and then a meeting with the man himself. Just make sure to book tickets in advance.
3. Eco Ice Skating
The Eco Ice Skating is new to the Wicklow Christmas Markets! Lace up your boots and spin around the ring with the sounds of Christmas hits ringing away in your ears.
As the name suggests, this is an ‘environmentally friendly state-of-the-art surface, which gives the feeling of real ice, without the chill‘.
