1. Ballyseede Castle
First up is hands-down the most unique of the many hotels Tralee has to offer. I’m talking, of course, about Ballyseede.
This family-run accommodation is widely regarded as one of the best castle hotels Ireland has to offer, and it dates as far back as the 1590s, situated in 30 acres of luscious woodland.
There are 39 elegant rooms located over three floors, with some of the rooms boasting a four-poster bed.
There are two restaurants onsite, the 2-star AA Rosette O Connell serving up Irish cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients and the Stone Room restaurant that’s great for breakfast or brunch.

2. Meadowlands Hotel
You’ll often hear the 4-star, family-run Meadowlands Hotel referred to as one of the best hotels in Kerry, and for good reason.
It was purchased by the Ó Mathúna Family from Dingle who rebuilt and refurbished the building, emerging as the Meadowlands Hotel back in June 1998.
The hotel is surrounded in stunning manicured gardens and is only 1km from Tralee Town centre, an excellent base for exploring many of the best places to visit in Kerry.
There are 58 traditionally furnished rooms and there is also the Johnny Frank’s Bar where you can listen to traditional music by a cosy fireplace or read a book from their library.

3. Manor West Hotel & Leisure Club
If you’re in search of hotels in Tralee with a swimming pool, the Manor West Hotel is a solid option (it’s also close to some of the best restaurants in Tralee).
This family-run hotel serves as either a great romantic escape or for a family holiday. The modern and spacious guest rooms come with a mini fridge, flat screen TV, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries and anything else you could need.

4. The Ashe Hotel
The Ashe is one of the quirkier hotels Tralee has to offer, as you can tell from a quick glance at the photo above.
Located in the town centre of Tralee, this contemporary hotel has a speciality gastro bar that is a popular hotspot among locals for lunch, brunch, drinks and freshly roasted coffee.

5. Tralee Benners Hotel
Right in the heart of the Tralee, this historic family-run hotel has been welcoming guests for over 200 years, and with good reason.
Meals prepared in the restaurant are made from locally produced ingredients and there is an excellent selection of Irish whiskeys to sample.
The hotel has 43 classically designed spacious rooms that come with a flat screen TV, coffee/tea making facilities, hairdryer and anything else you might need.

6. Grand Hotel Tralee
This fabulous hotel is well-established, considered the most central of all the Tralee hotels so should be easy to find. The Grand Hotel has been restored to its former architectural beauty while also including the best of modern boutique style.

This 4-star hotel is located on Dan Spring Road, about a 10 minute walk to the town centre, 15 minute drive to Kerry airport and is also set against the backdrop of the stunning Slieve Mish Mountains.
The hotel has 161 spacious rooms, some of which offer incredible views of the countryside and the Slieve Mish Mountains.

9. Ballyroe Heights Hotel
This award winning 3-star hotel is set in 6 ½ acres of sloping gardens and a magical backdrop of Slieve Mish Mountains and Tralee Bay.

Next up is the 4 star Ballygarry House, a place that could, in our opinion, go toe-to-toe with some of the finest 5 star hotels in Kerry.
While this family-run 4 star hotel has been over for 60 years, the Ballygarry House’s history dates as far back as the 18th century as a family country home.
The rooms are considered the most luxurious in all of Ireland, designed to the highest standards and finished detail with antique furnishings and luxury toiletries.
The onsite restaurant has got all the Irish Cuisine classics, using the best of the best locally produced ingredients from Kerry. The onsite spa offers guests the chance to experience Irish seaweed soaks as well as rejuvenating mud wraps or the hot tub with a glass of bubbly.

This family-run hotel is the smallest in Tralee with only 27 rooms but each one is beautifully designed and cosy.
