You Can Own This Fairytale Irish Castle In The Middle Of A Lake For €90,000

If you visited this site earlier this week, you’ll have seen an article about a crumbly aul castle in Roscommon that’s a little like something from a Disney movie.

Well, it turns out that castle (known as McDermott’s Castle) is now up for sale… for €90,000.

About the castle

You’ll find McDermott’s Castle in County Roscommon on Lough Key, 3km north east of the town of Boyle.

Stretching around 10km across and forming a rough circular shape, Lough Key contains over 30 islands scattered throughout it’s waters.

One of these islands is known as ‘Castle Island’, which is home to the ruins of McDermott’s Castle.

And it’s all yours for €90,000.
