The Irish Eyes cocktail is a great option for those of you looking for St Patrick’s Day drinks.
This is a bold green drink that stands out both in appearance and taste. The fact that it’s easy to make is the icing on the cake!
In the guide below, you’ll find a no-BS, easy-to-follow Irish Eyes cocktail recipe that takes less than 2 minutes to prepare.
Some quick need-to-knows before making an Irish Eyes cocktail
Before you look at how to make an Irish Eyes, take 20 seconds to read the points below – they’ll make the process easier and your drink tastier:
1. Use a decent Irish whiskey
There’s some excellent Irish whiskey brands on the market today. Luckily, many of the good ones hopefully won’t break the bank, as you’ll discover in our guide to the best cheap Irish whiskey. Personally, I always go for Redbreast 12.
2. Don’t worry if you don’t have a cocktail shaker
They’re great to have, but a protein shaker, while not as easy-on-the-eye, does just as good a job (and they’re cheaper to buy, too!).
3. Have fun with the garnish
So, many people use a cherry to garnish their Irish Eyes cocktail. Personally, I like to add a couple of leaves of mint, as I like the fragrance. You could also add a single (clean) shamrock, if you have them growing in your garden.
